Roof Snow & Icicle Removal

Safe removal of snow and icicles from rooftops — protecting the building and pedestrians below.

Snow and ice on rooftops pose a serious threat to both the building and the people around it. Icicles damage gutters, downpipes, roofing materials and facades, while falling icicles and masses of sliding snow endanger pedestrians and parked vehicles below. Estonian law places direct liability on the property owner for snow and ice loads that could fall from the roof — meaning that in the event of an accident, claims will be directed at the building owner.

A large snow load can damage load-bearing structures or even cause roof collapse, particularly on older buildings and flat roofs. At critical points — around chimneys, near roof windows and in hollows — snow can freeze into thick layers that do not melt independently even in milder weather. These are also the most common causes of water leaks during the spring thaw.

Our team removes snow and ice safely using cherry pickers, roof ladders, safety ropes and all required safety equipment. All team members working at height have completed working-at-height training, and the process is organised so as not to damage the roofing material, gutter system or edge flashing — the most frequent sources of damage caused by unskilled removal.

This service is especially important in the winter months, when the need for fast action is greatest — get in touch as soon as you notice a hazard. We offer both one-off emergency call-outs and seasonal maintenance contracts for apartment associations and businesses, under which we regularly inspect the site and respond quickly after heavy snowfall.
