Regular maintenance prevents costly water damage and extends the life of your gutters.
Gutters need regular maintenance to ensure they function without problems. Over time, leaves, twigs, moss, pollen and other debris accumulate in gutters and block the flow of water. Blocked gutters cause water to overflow, which damages the facade, roof and the building's foundations — the most costly repairs are typically associated with moisture damage that has quietly worsened over years.
In winter, a blocked gutter becomes especially dangerous — overflowing water freezes into thick layers of ice and icicles along the edges, which can damage gutters, eaves and roofing material. A constantly damp facade surface also promotes the growth of moss and algae and the development of mould inside wall structures, which often goes undetected from the outside appearance alone.
Our team cleans the gutters and checks the flow capacity of the downpipes, ensuring the entire system is functioning correctly. Blockages found in downpipes are cleared using pressure water or a specialist nozzle, and at the same time we assess the overall condition of the gutters and their fixings — we will notify you immediately if we find loose fixings, corrosion or damaged sections that need replacing.
For taller buildings we use cherry pickers or roof safety harnesses, allowing the work to be done safely without the time-consuming erection of scaffolding. We recommend gutter cleaning at least once a year — ideally in autumn, after the leaves have fallen — and for properties with dense mature trees, an additional clean in early spring. We offer annual maintenance contracts for apartment associations and commercial property owners, making gutter system upkeep a predictable and manageable ongoing cost.
