Dirt reduces panel output — we restore maximum performance and improve your return on investment.
Dust, bird droppings, leaves, pollen and other debris accumulating on solar panel surfaces can reduce output by up to 20–30%. Regular cleaning ensures the panels operate at full capacity and your investment pays off sooner. In Estonian conditions, the main sources of soiling are spring pollen, summer dust and insects, and autumn leaf fall.
We use soft brushes and demineralised water specifically designed for solar panel cleaning, which leave no marks or scratches on the glass surface. Using demineralised water is important because the minerals in ordinary tap water leave white marks after drying, which in turn block light from reaching the productive layers of the panels.
We do not use standard pressure washing on panels, as excessive pressure can damage the panel's protective coating and seals. Technically, we choose our approach based on the installation location: for roof-mounted panels we use telescopic brushes that allow the work to be done safely from ground level; for larger solar farms we can bring in robotic cleaning equipment where needed.
We recommend cleaning at least once a year — ideally in spring, before the sunniest months. If the panels are located near dusty roads or agricultural operations, twice-yearly cleaning may be warranted. During each visit we also check the panel fixings and will notify you immediately if we notice cracked glass, loose wiring or any other issues that require the installer's attention.
